The Battle Between Harshvardhan Rane and Karan Veer Mehra in Silaa: Sadia Khateeb at the Center

Filmmaker Omung Kumar, best known for Mary Kom and Sarbjit, has officially announced the title and first-look poster of his upcoming romantic-action drama, Silaa. The film features Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb in lead roles, with Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra playing the antagonist. Also joining the cast is actor-singer Ipsitaa, making her Bollywood debut.

First Look Poster Creates Buzz
On Monday, Harshvardhan Rane shared the first-look poster of Silaa on Instagram. The intense visual shows him holding co-star Sadia Khateeb close, both visibly injured and bloodied, with flames blazing in the background hinting at the film’s dark, emotional undertone. Sharing the poster, Rane wrote, “The wait ends here… Dive into the hauntingly beautiful world of #SILAA where love meets redemption.” The film goes on floors July 1.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “#Silaa is the title of the upcoming romantic-action drama starring #HarshvardhanRane and #SadiaKhateeb, with #KaranVeerMehra playing the antagonist.” Karan’s first look from the film is yet to be revealed.

Karan Veer Mehra Begins Shoot on a Special Day
Karan Veer Mehra shared an emotional note on his mother’s 70th birthday, coinciding with his first day on the film’s set. “Couldn’t celebrate lavishly today, but I promise to make it up to you, Mommy,” he wrote.

A Powerful Team Behind the Scenes
Silaa is presented by Zee Studios and jointly produced by Blue Lotus Pictures, Stark Entertainment, and Innovations India. The production team includes Umesh KR Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, and Captain Rahul Bali, among others, with Rahhat Shah Kazmi as co-producer.
