Friday OTT releases: 7 New movies and web shows to watch this weekend 1. ‘Ground Zero’ (June 20, Prime Video)

Ground Zero released in theatres in April 2025. It stars Emraan Hashmi in the titular role. It also features Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain in prominent roles.

The movie is based on the events that happened after the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001. It follows a BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led the mission in which terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem, also known as Ghazi Baba, was killed in 2003.

2. ‘Prince And Family’ (June 20, ZEE5)

The must-watch Malayalam movie tells the story of Prince, an introverted and shy man who also owns a bridal boutique. His ordinary life turns upside down when he gets married to Chinju Rani, a popular social media influencer.

Disrupting Prince and his family’s peaceful life, this movie dissects scenarios when modern dating clashes with traditional family values and conservative marital standards.

3. ‘Detective Sherdil’ (June 20, ZEE5)

Diljit Dosanjh plays the amateur yet brilliant Detective Sherdil in the movie. After wrapping up a case in Budapest, he comes across a strange case of the murder of a high-profile telecom magnate of Indian descent who is found dead on a desolate highway outside of town. As Sherdil digs deeper, he finds out that things are not really what they seem.

Alongside Diljit, the film stars Sumeet Vyas, Diana Penty, Banita Sandhu, Chunky Panday, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah.

The makers of Kabul posted its official trailer with the caption, “A city on the edge. A family in danger. The whole world’s watching. Kabul brings the fall of Afghanistan to the screen. Coming June 20 on Lionsgate Play.”

According to the description, Kabul chronicles the harrowing tales of a war-torn city and country through the eyes of a bereaved family.

5. ‘Kerala Crime Files’ Season 2 (June 20, JioHotstar)

The second season of Kerala Crime Files comes two years after the first installment. The second season focuses on a tense police investigation into the unexplained disappearance of Civil Police Officer Ambili Raju.

Aju Varghese and Lal reprise their leading roles from the first season of Kerala Crime Files. Indrans, Harisree Asokan, Renjit Shekar, Sanju Sanichen, Suresh Babu, Navas Vallikunnu, Noorin Shereef, Jeo Baby, and other actors play significant roles in the Malayalam crime drama.

6. ‘Karki’ (June 20, SunNXT)

Karki is the Kannada adaptation of Pa.Ranjith’s movie Pariyerum Perumal

, which was directed by Tamil filmmaker Pavithran.

Whatsapp Love fame Jai Prakash Reddy and Meenakshi Dinesh lead the movie. The film deals with caste oppression and violence that comes with it. The film is headed to release on OTT nine months after its theatrical run on June 20, Friday.

7. ‘Olympo’ (June 20, Netflix)
