Prithviraj, Kajol & Ibrahim Ali Khan's 'Sarzameen' Teaser: Fans Call It 'Fanaa 2'

The first teaser of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol Devgan and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s upcoming patriotic drama Sarzameen came out on Monday, June 30, 2025. Bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Sarzameen will feature Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran onscreen for the first time. Among its firsts, another is Ibrahim Ali Khan playing the role of the antagonist.

The teaser of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol’s Sarzameen gave us a much-needed glimpse into its plot. From the first look, it’s evident that Prithiviraj plays the role of a fearless soldier who is on guard 24*7 to safeguard the country. Kajol is seen playing the role of the female lead, sharing palpable chemistry with Prithviraj.

In the first scene, we see an upright Prithviraj Sukumaran, playing the role of an army officer, saying, “Sarzameen ki salamati se badhkar kuch nahi” – which translates to “Nothing is more important than the safety of the motherland.” The movie promises a powerful narrative around themes of duty, sacrifice and national pride.

What came to us as a surprise is Ibrahim Ali Khan’s fierce entry as the ruthless antagonist. With a chiseled physique and (fake) beard, Ibrahim seems to have justified the role of a terrorist against Prithviraj’s character. Ibrahim made his debut opposite Khushi Kapoor in Netflix's comedy drama Nadaaniyaan

. The movie seems to be set in Kashmir. The video ends with Ibrahim, dressed in an army uniform, aiming his gun at Prithviraj, creating a tense and chilling sequence.

Fans say ‘Sarzameen’ feels like ‘Fanaa 2’

Kajol, who is currently basking in the success of her latest release Maa, stirred excitement in her fans with another big Bollywood release.
