The Return Of Baburao: Paresh Rawal Is Back In 'Hera Pheri 3', Calls Akshay Kumar His Friend
Good news for all the Hera Pheri fans! Paresh Rawal has confirmed his return to the third installment in the blockbuster franchise, and we can’t hold our excitement. After announcing his exit from Hera Pheri 3 last month, Paresh was surrounded by controversies.
After he stepped back from the movie, the veteran actor was embroiled in a legal war with producer Akshay Kumar. Things went ugly when Akshay sent him a legal notice of Rs 25 crore for breaching the contract and leaving the movie in the middle.
Paresh Rawal has been in headlines over the past few weeks after he announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3. However, the actor has now resolved all the issues with Akshay Kumar and the production banner. In a recent podcast at The Himanshu Mehta Show, Paresh opened up on the infamous controversy and revealed that everything is now in place.
He said, “Mera yahi hai ki jab cheez itni zyda logon ko bhaati hai toh you need to be extra careful. It is our responsibility for the audience, kyunki audience baithi hai itna pyaar karti hai. You can't take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko do.”
Further, he mentioned that all the issues have been resolved. “To mera yahi hai ki bhaiya sab aaye saath me sab mehnat kar, bas aur kuch nahi.
The actor also added that Hera Pheri 3 will certainly return to the big screens. He quipped, “Pahle bhi aane hi wali thi, lekin kya hai ki ek dusre ko thoda fine tune karna padta hai. First of all, all of them are creative people... Like Priyadarshan hai, Akshay hai yaa Sunil hai, they all are friends for many many years.
After his exit, reports were in circulation that Paresh Rawal had quit the film over his creative differences with director Priyadarshan. However, the actor denied the reports.
Paresh wrote on X on May 18, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreement with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Priyadarshan.”
Just two days after his exit, Akshay Kumar's production company had sued Rawal for Rs 25 crore for sabotaging the shoot. Akshay is also the producer of Hera Pheri 3, after legally buying the rights for it from producer Feroz Nadiadwala.
Following the legal tussle, Paresh's legal team declared that the actor had paid back the amount of Rs 11 lakh along with 15 per cent interest to Akshay's production company. The veteran actor wrote on X, “My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response all issues will be laid to rest.”
During Housefull 5 promotions, Akshay Kumar was asked about Paresh Rawal’s exit and the legal notice. Defending his colleague, Khiladi Kumar said, “Using this kind of word for one of my co-star like a foolish word or something. I would not appreciate it, and that's not right. I have worked with him for the last 30-35 years, and we are very good friends. He's a great actor and I really admire him.”
He further added, “It's a very serious matter. It is a matter which is going to be handled by the court.”
