Bigg Boss OTT 3: Armaan Malik and his equation with his two wives have been talk of the town ever since the family entered the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house. The Youtuber, famous for his lifestyle vlogs, has been facing both backlash and support for his unique chemistry with his first wife, Payal, and second wife, Kritika. Unlike every other person on the internet who gets shocked and interested in the contestant's personal life since it is different from what we all have, lawyer Sana Raees has claimed that Armaan Malik's second marriage with Kritika is illegal. Shocking right?

In the shocking claim, the renowed lawyer and ex-contestant of Bigg Boss herself, Sana Raees, while talking to Indian Express, added that the marriage that Armaan Malik has with his second wife, Kritika, is deemed illegal under Indian law.

According to the Hindu Marriage Act of 1995, Sana said Hindus are legally permitted to have only one spouse at a time. Sana further clarified that polygamy is not recognised in India for Hindus.

The Hindu Marriage Act is an act of Indian parliament enacted in 1955. The act in India governs the legal aspects of marriage for Hindus in the country.

  • This act requires Hindus to have only one wife or spouse at a time, making polygamy illegal in India.

  • The groom should be at least 21 years old, and the bride must be 18. 
  • The Hindu Marriage Act prohibits marriage between close relatives or within the same clan. This act allows for divorce and annulment under certain conditions, like cruelty or mutual consent. 
  • The Hindu Marriage Act is intended to ensure that Hindu marriages are conducted legally and ethically while respecting both parties' rights.

    • Armaan Malik came to take part in Bigg Boss OTT 3 with both his wives, but Payal got evicted. He is now continuing the game with his second wife, Kritika. It was reported that Armaan converted to Islam years ago, but his wife, Payal, recently informed IndianExpress.com that he has not changed his faith.
