Bhuvan Bam shares emotional story of his father's drinking problem
Every comedian hides behind a mask of laughter, not showing the world of struggles that lie beneath. While their jokes and antics make people laugh, not many get to know about the real struggles they are going through in their lives. Bhuvan Bam, the YouTube sensation, who shot to popularity because of his comic videos on his channel BB Ki Vines is no different. As his hilarious videos were making us laugh out loud, he was silently dealing with real-life hardships within his family. Behind every punchline and comic skit, Bhuvan was fighting battles that only a few knew about.
In conversation with We Are Yuvaa (YouTube channel)’s show, Be A Man, Yaar, the actor-Youtuber revealed about his father's battle with alcoholism and revealed that he always resisted when he asked him to stop drinking. For the unversed, Bhuvan Bam lost both his parents in 2021 to Covid-19-related complications.
"I asked him, ‘Who drinks in the middle of the day? What is the problem? Tell us. We have just cut a cake celebrating 10 million followers, we planned to travel. Then why are you drinking at 12 in the afternoon?’ He replied, ‘I am habitual to this and I want you guys to not intervene. Let me be. I am very happy for all of you, just don’t interfere.’ Simple. I wondered what do I tell after this? I can’t forcefully pull the drink away because he’s my father."
Sharing his struggle, he revealed this altercations would often lead to chaos at home. This made him so uncomfortable that he stopped going to the balcony as his fans were always gathered there to see him.

"There was always a queue outside my house and after BB Ki Vines picked up, I stopped going into my balcony. Because there was always be 60-70 people there, be at 2 am or 3 am at night. In between all this, andar kalesh chal rahe hai ghar mein; begging him not to scream, matlab, ghamaasan ghar ke andar."

Bhuvan had decided to move out of the houseUnable to deal with all of this, he had decided to move out of his house. However, his father had a brain stroke at that time. "The day I paid the stamp duty of his new house, my father had a brain stroke. At the time, my world was shattered and I was learning how to live again without them."

In 2021, he lost both his parents to Covid-19. In an emotional post, he had then wrote,
