Soori has been constantly experimenting with his reel image. The actor, who essayed comic roles in the initial phase of his career, has added a new dimension to his Kollywood innings with

Maamam held its own against DD Next Level and stunted its prospects. The horror comedy earned nearly 19 crore in Tamil Nadu during its full run. According to Ramesh Bala,
“The title is an emotional one. It means mother’s brother. For most families, especially the women, the brother sentiment is very strong. Women here love there brothers just like there are specific festivals like Bhai Dooj in the North,” he said.
