Why 'The Wedding Filmer' refused to shoot Alia-Ranbir's wedding!

Do you know Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor wanted to hire The Wedding Filmer to capture the most special day of their lives - their wedding? However, the award-winning cinematic wedding filmmaker refused their request. Videographer Vishal Punjabi, who is the founder of the company, has now revealed why he rejected the their request.

For the unversed, The Wedding Filmer has shot wedding videos for many high-profile weddings that include Bollywood celebrities like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Kiara Advani and Siddharth Malhotra, and Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa among others. They are known to capture all the emotions of bride, groom and their families and churn out beautiful videos that compel viewers to shed tears of joy.

Vishal recently revealed that had to turn down Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's offer as they approached them only two weeks before their marriage. "I wasn’t available when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt called me for their wedding. A lot of these celebrities call me two weeks before their wedding because it's hush hush and nobody can know."

"The downside is I am not available for most of them. I have never cancelled a wedding to cover a celebrity's wedding. I didn't do Alia and Ranbir's wedding because I was booked to do a wedding in London for a very beautiful, lovely bride. I wouldn't change that for the world even now. She was gorgeous, and it was a beautiful experience. Ranbir and Alia would have gotten a nice wedding video,"

he added.

Unheard details of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma wedding

On the Shivani Pau podcast, Vishal also shared details about Virat-Anushka and Deepika-Ranveer's wedding and said, "You all saw the Ambani pre-wedding; it could get that big. Then you have the Deepika Padukone wedding; beautiful, a love marriage, intimate, with only 150 people at Lake Como. It’s challenging, it’s expensive. Fifty people in Como is doable. That’s what Virat Kohli did."

Their wedding venue hosted Barack Obama

He added, "Cricket is a religion in India, and he’s a god. He and Anushka got married in Tuscany, Italy. It was truly beautiful. Closest family and friends, only 40 of them, including parents, makeup artists, and us. They nailed the wedding. It was the most stunning wedding ever. No one disturbed them. It was like a bubble surrounded the place, allowing them to just be. They had the most magical wedding. As I was checking in, Barack Obama was checking out; it was a really cool, exclusive, and beautiful property."
