Leaks and teasers have fueled mounting enthusiasm in the weeks preceding the premiere, even if official details are still being kept under wraps. Following the appearance of new pictures of a retail promotion stand on Reddit and the Korean forum DogDrip, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the show's star, has already caused a stir online.

In comparison to the current Galaxy Z Fold 6, the images reveal a noticeably thinner design with a considerably smaller hinge, suggesting a significant redesign.

According to preliminary estimates, Samsung has reduced the device's size to an astounding 4.5mm when completely open and just 9mm when folded, establishing a new standard for foldable thinness and addressing long-standing consumer complaints about large form factors.

However, buzz is being created by more than simply the slimmer design. With hints of AI-powered camera improvements that might significantly increase shot quality, scene optimization, and real-time image processing, Samsung has been teasing its newest foldable across a number of platforms. Samsung is prepared to improve its camera even further as artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more prevalent in the smartphone market.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to come with Qualcomm's most recent Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which promises better performance and more energy efficiency, in addition to design and camera enhancements. Additionally, Samsung's One UI 8 skin, which is based on Android 16, will be pre-installed on the device, providing customers with instant access to the most recent software updates.

Additionally, according to leaks, Samsung intends to release the Fold 7 in a variety of colours, including Coral Red, Silver Shadow, Blue Shadow, and Black. Options for RAM and storage include 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage, as well as a high-end 16GB RAM model with 1TB of internal storage.

Samsung may broaden its foldable lineup to reach a wider audience by introducing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a less expensive Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model at the same event as the Fold 7. Despite its many improvements, the Fold 7's price is anticipated to stay mostly consistent with that of its predecessor, maintaining the device's competitiveness.

A slightly wider display aspect ratio and compatibility for Qi2 wireless charging are also rumoured, which could make multitasking and media consumption on the huge foldable screen even more effortless.
