Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his company’s HR head Kristin Cabot have unintentionally become the centre of meme culture this week. A video of the two caught on the Kiss Cam during a Coldplay concert has gone viral, sparking both gossip and waves of internet jokes.

It all started at Coldplay’s recent concert in Boston when the Kiss Cam landed on Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. The two were spotted in a close embrace, but once they realised they were on the big screen, they awkwardly tried to shield their faces. That only added to the suspicion that something was off, fuelling rumours of an affair between the CEO and his HR head.

 Even Coldplay frontman Chris Martin couldn’t ignore the scene. He joked live on stage, saying, “Oh look at these two... either they're having an affair or they're very shy.” His comment added more fuel to the viral moment, and the clip soon spread across X, TikTok, and Reddit.

It didn’t take long for social media users to unleash their creativity. Memes combining Coldplay’s lyrics like “Nobody said it was easy” with freeze frames of the duo hiding from the camera started flooding the internet. Others used Fix You to joke that HR now needs to fix her career.

One user wrote, “When HR forgets about HR policies,” while another joked, “CEO KPI: Kisses Per Interaction.” Another X user posted, "Oh to be an Astronomer employee patiently for that internal email addressing their CEO and HR’s infidelity".  People even photoshopped the pair into mock movie posters like The Office Affair and Kiss Cam Chronicles.
