A source close to the development told HT, “These are just speculations. We haven't got any call from anyone as of now.
The source added, “There is no plan to replace or remove Diljit from Border 2. His casting was confirmed nearly nine months ago, long before the recent unfortunate incidents. Nearly half the film has already been shot, and any replacement at this stage would be logistically unfeasible.”
Diljit Dosanjh has found himself at the centre of a growing controversy due to his decision to co-star with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3. The move has sparked backlash, particularly because of ongoing sensitivities around India-Pakistan relations in the entertainment industry after Operation Sindoor.
Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Sardaar Ji 3 has not been released in India, but is scheduled to hit screens in international markets, including Pakistan.
