Historic! Deepika Gets A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame; 20 H'wood Icons Who Never Got One

Deepika Padukone has created history by becoming the first Indian film star to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame, a popular sidewalk in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Making the historic announcement, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed Deepika’s name among the list of 35 celebs from films, TV, sports etc.

These names are selected from among the hundreds of nominations that the HCC received for 2026.

Sharing the post on their official Instagram account, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce wrote, “A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and Sports Entertainment have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Columbus, Marion Cotillard, Keith David, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore, Franco Nero, Deepika Padukone, Molly Ringwald, Stanley Tucci, Carlo Ramboldi, and Tony Scott

TELEVISION:

Interestingly, there are many legendary and iconic Hollywood movie stars/celebs who are yet to get stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

These include the likes of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, David Lynch, Diane Keaton, Natalie Portman, Brad Pitt, Stanley Kubrick, George Lucas, Jim Carrey, Judi Dench, Clint Eastwood, Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, Akira Kurosawa, Meg Ryan, Ben Affleck, Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey and Emma Stone among others.

Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood Debut

Besides being a top star in Indian films for almost 18 years, Deepika Padukone also made her debut in Hollywood alongside Vin Diesel in the 2017 action entertainer XXX: Return of Xander Cage.
