'Shaktimaan Only With Ranveer Singh' Confirms Basil Joseph Despite Mukesh Khanna's Objection
It’s been over three years since Shaktimaan was announced for a big screen adaptation but since then the film has gone through a lot of ups and downs when it comes to finding an actor who’ll play the lead role of the superhero.
It was reported that Ranveer Singh has been cast in the lead role but Mukesh Khanna shut down his casting stating he doesn’t have a face for it.
Later, Ranveer also visited Mukesh Khanna’s office to convince him but the veteran actor and the OG Shaktimaan didn’t budge.
In recent times, there were reports that Allu Arjun is in talks to star in the film now replacing Ranveer Singh. Interestingly, Mukesh Khanna had earlier praised Allu Arjun and admitted that he is the right fit to play the character.
But, now in an interview, Basil Joseph has refuted the Allu Arjun casting rumours and has confirmed Ranveer Singh is still the big screen Shaktimaan.

Reacting to the Allu Arjun as Shaktimaan casting rumours, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “No one else is doing Shaktimaan. It is Ranveer Singh and no one else. Whoever is spreading rumours of his replacement clearly has their own agenda.”
The website then contacted the filmmaker himself who replied, “Shaktimaan will be made only with Ranveer Singh.”
Now that Basil Joseph has confirmed Ranveer Singh is still on board despite Mukesh Khanna’s strong objection to his casting, we wonder what the veteran actor will have to say to this confirmation.
For those unaware, Basil Joseph is a renowned Malayalam actor and filmmaker who last directed the much-loved superhero film Minnal Murali
