Hyundai Aura vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze vs Tata Tigor: Price & specs comparison

Hyundai recently updated its Aura sub-compact sedan for the 2023 model year, introducing a range of visual updates on the outside, as well as some new features and safety tech. What hasn't changed though, is its rivalry with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze as well as the Tata Tigor.

With the Aura facelift now launched, let's take a look at how the four sedans stack up against each other as far as specifications and price are concerned -

The Tata Tigor measures 2 mm shorter in length as against all three other sedans in this comparison, while it also has the lowest width at 1677 mm. However, the Tata sub-4m sedan is the tallest car here at 1532 mm. The Honda Amaze has the longest wheelbase of 2470 mm, 20 mm longer than Aura, Dzire and Tigor.


Engine specs


The Hyundai Aura makes use of a 1.2-litre four-cylinder NA petrol engine that makes 83 PS power and 114 Nm torque, mated to a 5-speed MT and an optional 5-speed AMT. The Dzire, Amaze and Tigor also get a 1.2-litre NA petrol motor, with only the latter being offered with a 3-cylinder unit as opposed to 4-cylinder units on all other sedans here.

The Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire's engine makes 90 PS power - highest here, while the Amaze is the only car to be offered with a CVT automatic gearbox as compared to the AMT auto on other three cars. Moreover, the Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Tata Tigor are offered with an optional factory-fit CNG kit too.


Price

The new Hyundai Aura is priced from Rs 6.30 lakh, going up to Rs 8.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the second most premium car in this comparison, as far as price is concerned.

The Tata Tigor is the most affordable sub-4m sedan in India, with prices starting from Rs 6.10 lakh. Meanwhile Honda Amaze is the most expensive car here, with prices ranging from Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 9.48 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
