Muted Janmashtami celebrations by temples this year

Considering the possibility of coronavirus transmission, around 30 temples in the city have decided to remain close dfor Janmashtami on Wednesday. Notices have been put up outside their premises to inform devotees of the same. Among the temples that will remain closed during the day are Jagannath temple in Jamalpur, Ganpati temple in Lal Darwaja, Iskcon temple, Kalyan Pusti Haveli in Vastrapur, Vallabh Sadan on Ashram Road, Kameshwar temple in Naranpura, Bhagwat Vidyapeeth in Gota, Chakuliya Mahadev in Gomtipur and Vrajdham Haveli in Anandnagar .

AMC teams visited 469 tempes and religious places and gave them the SOP for religious activities.
