Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 To Start Airing On July 19

The official website of Kaiju No. 8‘s anime adaptation revealed that the second season of the anime will start airing in Japan from July 19, 2025, on TV Tokyo and other networks at 11:00 p.m. JST.

A new key visual was also revealed to commemorate the announcement. The key visual features Isao Shinomiya towering over Kafka Hibino in his Kaiju form. Kikoru Shinomiya and Gen Narumi are also present in the visual.

Additionally, it was also revealed that the side story episode ‘Hoshina’s Day Off’ will air on TV Tokyo on July 5, 2025 at 11:00 p.m. JST. It will also be livestreamed globally on X.

Kaiju No. 8 season 1 aired from April 13 to June 29, 2024.

The series was produced by Production I.G, with Studio Khara supervising the kaiju designs and artworks.

Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya directed the season 1, with scripts by Ichiro Okouchi, character designs and chief animation direction by Tetsuya Nishio, art direction by Shinji Kimura and monster designs by Mahiro Maeda.

Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ application and website since July 2020
