Shonen Jump+ Celebrates 10th Anniversary With One-Shot Anime Projects By WIT Studio, CONTRAIL And Production I.G
Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga platform is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special anime adaptation project, enlisting WIT Studio, CONTRAIL, and Production I.G to each animate a one-shot manga.
The project is spearheaded by JOEN, a company jointly invested by CloverWorks, WIT STUDIO, Aniplex, and Shueisha.
According to the project planners, the initiative aims to showcase the creativity and passion of new manga artists. Shonen Jump+ has published over 2,000 one-shots over the years, driven by the goal of discovering fresh talent in the manga industry.
This new project will see these talents refined further through anime adaptation.
“Shonen Jump+ has published numerous one-shot works—over 2,000 in total. Why have we published so many? There are various reasons, but one of them is our desire to discover talented manga creators. Many new artists have taken on the challenge of creating one-shots, pouring their pure passion and love for manga into them. As a result, many manga works loved by readers were born.
Now, the brilliance of those talents will be further refined by the talents of the anime world. And on top of that, we have such powerful studios joining this project. There’s no doubt that the resulting anime will be amazing! We will gradually provide more information, so please look forward to it.“
More details, including the specific works chosen for adaptation, will be announced soon on the Shonen Jump+ platform and the 10th anniversary official website.
