Yoshitoki Oima's To Your Eternity Manga Comes To An End After 8 Year Run

Yoshitoki Oima’s To Your Eternity manga ended in the 27th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine on June 3, 2025, wrapping up its eight-and-a-half-year serialization.

The final chapter appeared with a cover illustration and a color opening page, marking the end of protagonist Fushi’s long journey.

The 25th and final volume of the manga will be released in Japan on Aug 12, 2025.

To commemorate the ending, Weekly Shonen Magazine is offering a special giveaway. Readers have a chance to win a high-quality reproduction of the final chapter’s color opening page, along with a shikishi board signed by Oima.

Oima launched To Your Eternity manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in November 2016.

Kodansha has been releasing the chapters in collected tankobon volumes, starting with Volume 1 on Jan 17, 2017. As of April 16, 2025, a total of 24 volumes are available.

In North America, the manga is licensed by Kodansha USA for a digital and printed English release.

The story is about an immortal being, Fushi, who takes on multiple forms, including that of an abandoned white-haired village boy and his white wolf in order to stimulate as it learns what it is to be truly human.

Oima, inspired by her own grandmother’s death, aimed to write about survival and the character Fushi, who initially is an emotionless stone but gradually develops a self and personality as a result of interacting with humans, young and old alike.

An anime television series adaptation of the manga, produced by Brain’s Base, aired from April to August 2021, and a second season, produced by Drive, aired from October 2022 to March 2023.
