Ather launch in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad in July 2020

• Ather will initially launch in four cities by July 2020.

• Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Hyderabad will get 10 charge points active by July 2020.

Ather Energy had proudly announced that the Ather 450X will be available in ten cities by the end of the year. The initial launch will be in the top four cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad by July 2020.

As on date, Ather models are available in Bengaluru with Chennai also becoming a recipient recently. There has been a great demand for these electric scooters to be available across other cities, as well. With its competitors like Bajaj and TVS coming up with their electric vehicle models, Ather finds it necessary to expand its base. The good news is that the Ather 450X will launch sometime in July, and will be available in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Ather has stated that each of these cities should have a minimum of ten active charge points before launching the vehicle. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer is planning to augment this supply to at least 30 to 40 chargers in a year.

More than the charger issue, Ather has to contend with its famous rivals, Bajaj Auto and TVS. Bajaj has already announced that it will be delivering the first batch of Chetak e-scooters in Bengaluru and Pune before making it available in the other major metros. As on date, Bajaj will be marketing the Chetak through its KTM outlets. The company has four and 13 dealerships in Pune and Bengaluru, respectively.

The TVS iQube is available for booking online at the brand’s website. Besides, the company has ten dealerships in Bengaluru. TVS has confirmed that the e-scooter will soon be available in the other metros.
