A limited-edition Jawa has been announced. It is called the Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition and will be limited to 90 units. However, unlike other limited editions, it is not available for an additional cost and a customer cannot specify that they want the limited edition, either.
Instead, all current bookings made until 22 October are eligible for a lucky draw. The winners will be announced on the date mentioned, and the 90 examples will be ready for delivery immediately after.
The Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition is available in a red and ivory dual-tone paint scheme and has a ‘90th Anniversary’ emblem on the tank, as well as a serial number. This color scheme was originally seen on the Jawa 500 OHV.
The Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition will remain mechanically identical to the Jawa Standard – a 293cc single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling generates 27bhp and 28Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It will have dual-channel ABS. It will be priced at Rs 1.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, the same as the Jawa Standard.
The Jawa Standard competes with the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, and the UM Renegade Classic, with their retro styling. It also is priced similar to a number of modern motorcycles like the Bajaj Dominar 400, Honda CBR 250R, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
