Cricketer Yash Dayal found himself in trouble as an FIR was filed against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricketer for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman, TOI reported.

Dayal has been accused of making false promises of marriage while maintaining a relationship with the victim for several years.

The victim filed a complaint with the chief minister's portal on June 21. The Ghaziabad police recirded the woman's statement last week. However, Dayal is yet to give his statement, police told TOI.

Additional police commissioner of Ghaziabad, Alok Priyadarshi, confirmed to TOI that the FIR under BNS 69 (sexual intercourse through deceitful means) has been filed against Yash Dayal.

He added that the fast bowler will soon be arrested and a medical examination of the victim would be conducted.

According to the complaint, the woman claims that Dayal first mt her in 2019 through social media, leading to their conversations on Instagram. She alleges that the cricketer promised to marry her, and they maintained a physical relationship.

She further claims that the cricketer took her to Bengaluru, Delhi and Prayagraj during their relationship. Whenever she insisted on marriage, he reportedly asked her to wait until he got settled in his career.

The woman further said that Dayal's behaviour changed recently and he started ignoring her about a month ago. She claims that he has blocked her on social media platforms and ultimately refused to marry her. When she confronted him, she alleges that he physically assaulted her.

She had earlier posted on social media seeking justice and tagging Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In her post, she shared a photo with Dayal and detailed how their relationship continued for five years. The woman also alleged that Dayal was involved with several other women during their time together.

On June 14, 2025, the victim sought help from the Women's Helpline 181, but she claims no action was taken by the police. She provided the authorities with screenshots, chats, and video call records as evidence.
