'Britney Spears' Mexico flight drama: Body cam footage shows calm exit, no action taken
Britney Spears was involved in a mid-air incident on a flight from Mexico to Los Angeles. She reportedly drank alcohol and tried to smoke on the plane, which led to concern among the flight crew. The event drew attention, but no legal action was taken against her.
According to the reports on TMZ, Spears caused concern among the flight crew and passengers due to her unusual behaviour, especially when she tried to light up a cigarette onboard. Flight attendants quickly intervened, asking her to stop, and while she eventually complied, sources described her behaviour as difficult and erratic throughout the journey.
Once the plane arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), flight attendants and passengers could see that Britney visibly upset. She was spotted sitting in the plane, looking dishevelled and agitated with white sunscreen all over her face and body. She appeared to be in a heated conversation with a flight attendant, and her overall condition worried fellow passengers. Later, Britney addressed the situation by saying she believed smoking was allowed on the flight because someone had told her it was okay. She also claimed that the flight attendants were unfriendly and seemed to dislike her.
The newly released footage shows what happened after the plane landed. In the video, a US Customs and Border Protection agent is observed speaking with an airport police officer on the runway. The customs agent can be heard stating, "We get her all the time, today she obviously didn't take her meds. She's being very compliant; she's very nice, so to me right now, it's all good."
The video also captures Britney walking past the officers silently. She makes a gentle wave, says nothing to anyone, and walks off without causing any more commotion. She appeared composed and did not seem to be in the same distressed state as seen earlier during the flight. The customs officer then instructed the airport police to keep an eye on her, just in case anything happened later.
Although the mid-flight situation was serious and caught attention, authorities let her go without any charges.
