BTS' Kim Taehyung mobbed at Seoul airport; urges fans: 'Let's be safe next time'

On July 4, 2025, Kim Taehyung, better known by his stage name V, was confronted by a large crowd at ' Incheon International Airport ' as he left for Paris to attend the 'Celine Fashion Show.' Numerous fan videos and media reports depicted the chaotic scene, which alarmed fans and led Taehyung to send a heartfelt message urging self-control and safety.

A scene of chaos and concernTaehyung arrived at the airport dressed in a white full-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans, and a face mask. In spite of his calm manner, as he was bowing to paparazzi and waving to the fans, the situation quickly escalated as hundreds of people swarmed him, making it difficult for his bodyguards to maintain control.

Videos showed Taehyung walking slowly through the crowd, at one point stopping entirely as security struggled to clear a path. Fans online described the scene as “terrifying” and “unsafe,” with one person reportedly falling in front of him during the commotion.

Taehyung’s message: “Let’s be safe next time”In response to the incident, Taehyung took to Weverse, sharing a masked selfie and writing, “ARMY, you know that, right? It’s dangerous. Let’s be safe next time.” The message was a gentle reminder to prioritise safety for the artist and the fans both.

Fan reactions: Anger, guilt, and supportThe incident raised a wave of reactions all over social media. Some fans criticized the lack of crowd control and called on HYBE to provide better security, while others expressed disappointment in fellow ARMYs for invading boundaries as they all have the same care for V.

“Provide Kim Taehyung with better airport management HYBE!! Why only four bodyguards?” one user wrote.
“This is not safe for anyone, especially for Tae,” another added.
“He looked stressed when a lady fell in front of him,” a fan noted.

In spite of the utter chaos, many appreciated Taehyung’s calm and composed behaviour and kindness he held, which highlighted his continuous efforts to connect with fans even in difficult situations.

What’s next for Taehyung?This Paris trip was Taehyung’s first official one since his military discharge on June 10, 2025. He is expected to attend Celine’s Spring/Summer 2026 showcase while continuing his role as a fashion icon on a global level and a brand ambassador.
