From Derry Girls 3 to Turkish TV show Yargi; A look at the International TV shows and celebs who grabbed the Emmy Awards

The 51st Emmy Awards World Television Festival, a major event for TV actors, was held in New York today (November 21). India's nominations included actor and stand-up comedian Vir Das, as well as Jim Sarbh and Shefali Shah. The trio was sighted at the Emmy Awards 2023 Red Carpet. Ektaa Kapoor
received the prestigious honour of the Directorate Award as well. Apart from the Indian Nominations, here's a list of the International TV shows and celebs who took home the Emmy Award. The International Telenovela award was bagged by the Turkish television series Yargi (Family Secrets). The TV series was created by Ay Yapım, written by Sema Ergenekon and directed by Ali Bilgin. It stars Pınar Deniz and Kaan Urgancıoğlu in the lead roles. The best comedy award had a tie between Vir Das and the TV show Derry Girls- Season 3.
Derry Girls is a British teen sitcom produced and written by Lisa McGee that began on Channel 4 on January 4, 2018, and ran for three seasons. The channel's most successful comedy series since Father Ted, the series was inspired by McGee's personal experiences growing up in Derry, Northern Ireland, during the final years of the Troubles in the 1990s. As five teens living in the mid-1990s, it stars Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Louisa Harland, Nicol Coughlan, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, and Dylan Llewellyn.
The Emmy for TV Movie went to La Caida (Dive), the Spanish mini-series not only grabbed the Emmy for the but even the lead actress Karla Souza won the best performance award for the same. Karla said, "We are grateful to bring Emmy home and how the awards encourage us to do better with our craft. The Emmy Awards also had a special award for Ektaa Kapoor, she was honoured with the Directorate Award by Deepak Chopra and she had a heart warming speech.
