Netflix brings A Girl & Her Guard Dog and The Unwanted Undead Adventurer anime to Indian audiences

Netflix has brought the captivating worlds of two anime series to Indian audiences, showcasing the enchanting tales of " A Girl & Her Guard Dog " and " The Unwanted Undead Adventurer ."

All 13 episodes of the television anime adaptation of Hatsuharu's "A Girl & Her Guard Dog" manga are now available for streaming on Netflix in India. Simultaneously, Indian viewers can also enjoy the television anime adaptation of Yū Okano's light novel series, "The Unwanted Undead Adventurer," as it airs in Japan.

The anime "A Girl & Her Guard Dog" made its debut on September 28 across TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi channels, surprising eager fans who had anticipated its premiere in October. The first two episodes had a special advance screening in Japan on September 3 at the United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo. Crunchyroll also joined the excitement, adding the anime to its lineup on September 28.

Directed by Nobuhiro Takamoto and produced by project No.9, the series boasts the creative talent of Aya Satsuki for the series scripts and Yukiko Ban for character design. Tsubasa Ito composed the music, while Akari Kitō lent her voice to the anime's ending theme song, "Magie×Magie." Hatsuharu initially launched the manga in December 2018 in Bessatsu Friend, currently on hiatus as the creator prepares for the upcoming "second year arc." Kodansha USA Publishing has been releasing the manga digitally in English, with the eighth volume hitting digital platforms in March 2023.

"The Unwanted Undead Adventurer" embarked on its journey on January 8, airing on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and Sun TV. The series also began streaming in Japan on d Anime Store and Netflix from January 5. Muse Asia, in addition to Netflix, is treating Indian audiences to this undead adventure. Crunchyroll, joining the fray on January 5, added yet another layer to the excitement.

Noriaki Akitaya, at the helm of CONNECT, directed the anime adaptation of "The Unwanted Undead Adventurer." Yukie Sugawara oversees the series scripts, while Takao Sano designed the characters. The opening theme song, "Immortal," is performed by DJ/musical artist/music producer JUVENILE, with Mao Abe contributing the ending theme song.

Yū Okano kickstarted "The Unwanted Undead Adventurer" on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2016, and OVERLAP brought it to print with illustrations by Jaian in October 2017. A manga adaptation by Haiji Nakasone graced OVERLAP's Comic Gardo website in November 2017. J-Novel Club has been instrumental in bringing both the light novel series and the manga adaptation to English-speaking audiences.
