Shiva Rajkumar's fierce look in 'Peddi' revealed on his birthday; Ram Charan says he's honoured to work with the legend

Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar is part of the upcoming Ram Charan-starrer rural sports drama ‘Peddi’. To celebrate his birthday today, the makers shared the first look of the veteran actor.

Shiva Rajkumar is expected to play a key role in the film, which is directed by Buchi Babu Sana . His look as Gournaidu suggests a character that is both regal and intense. Sporting a large handlebar moustache, sharp earrings and a piercing gaze, the experienced actor carries an intimidating, rugged style.

On X, the makers posted the new poster and wrote,
"Team #Peddi wishes the 'Karunada Chakravarthy' @NimmaShivanna Garu a very Happy Birthday ‍ 'GOURNAIDU' will be regal and explosive on the big screens #PEDDI GLOBAL RELEASE ON 27th MARCH, 2026."

Wishing the legendary actor on his birthday, Ram Charan also shared the poster and wrote,
"Happy Birthday @NimmaShivanna garu !! 'GOURNAIDU' will be celebrated and loved. Honoured to be sharing screen with you in #Peddi."

Director praises Shiva Rajkumar

The film’s director, Buchi Babu Sana, expressed his admiration, writing,
"Happy Birthday to my Dear Shivanna @NimmaShivanna Sir Truly honoured to work with such a legendary, humble, and positive person like you, Sir Your presence on set was always inspiring. Wishing you good health and immense happiness always sir."

Ram Charan’s powerful look

The movie stars Ram Charan in a rugged and intense avatar, marking his return to a mass-action entertainer set in a rural backdrop, similar to his hit ‘Rangasthalam’. The makers have already shared the teaser, titled ‘First Shot’. It shows Ram Charan walking into a rustic cricket ground, dressed in a vest and dhoti, holding a cricket bat, radiating raw energy.

Cast and release

‘Peddi’ also features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, along with Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma. The film is set for a worldwide release on 27 March 2026, which also marks Ram Charan’s birthday.
