Taejun Pak and Kim Junghyun's Viral Hit webtoon hits TV screens in April with Crunchyroll release

Fuji TV recently unveiled exciting news for anime enthusiasts as they disclosed the upcoming television adaptation of the sensational webtoon series, Viral Hit , created by the dynamic duo Taejun Pak and Kim Junghyun . Set to debut in April on Fuji TV's Ultra+ programming block, the anime will be titled "Kenka Dokugaku," mirroring the Japanese title of the widely popular webtoon.


Adding to the anticipation, Crunchyroll simultaneously declared its commitment to streaming the series during its spring 2024 season. Viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS can look forward to enjoying the animated adaptation as it airs.

Steering the creative direction of the anime is director Masakazu Hishida, known for his work on "Fairy Ranmaru" and "KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm," at Okuruto Noboru. Toshiya Ono, the mastermind behind scripts for "The Promised Neverland" and "Land of the Lustrous," takes charge of overseeing the series scripts. Character design falls into the capable hands of Satomi Miyazaki, recognized for her work on "Tomodachi Game," while Yutaka Yamada, acclaimed for his compositions in "Tokyo Ghoul" and "Vinland Saga," is responsible for the music. The production is in the hands of Slow Curve.

Originating in Korea in November 2019, the webtoon quickly gained traction. The English version, introduced by Webtoon in October 2020, has already released 203 chapters as of February 6. Japanese readers can enjoy the series on the LINE Manga app.
