Who Was Sheetal? All About 23-Year-Old Haryana Model Found With Slit Throat In Sonipat

Haryana-based model Simmi Chaudhary, who went by the stage name Sheetal, was found dead in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat, Haryana, on Monday, with a slit throat. Sheetal was brutally murdered for reasons not known as of yet.

According to the police, Sheetal's body, with a slit throat, was dumped in a canal in Sonipat. Her sister Neha filed a missing complaint with the Matlauda police in Panipat earlier, in which she claimed that the 23-year-old had gone to Ahar village on June 14 for a shoot, but never returned.

Who was Sheetal?

The late Sheetal hailed from the Khalila Majra village in Panipat. She was a model who also worked in the Haryana music industry. It was only six months ago that she began working in the music industry.

On June 14 too, she had reportedly stepped out to shoot a music video, but was brutally killed.

Prior to her modelling career, Sheetal worked at a hotel in Karnal.

Sheetal was beaten up: Sister Neha

Sheetal's sister Neha, who filed a missing report in Panipat on June 14, told the cops that the model had called her on the same night and had said that her former friend, named Sunil, had thrashed her at the shooting venue.

"She also told me that Sunil was mounting pressure on her to go with her. Thereafter, her phone disconnected, and she was unreachable," Neha stated.

Neha told the police that on June 15, Sunil's car slipped into a canal in Delhi, but when he was rescued, Sheetal was not present in the car. "We suspect that Sunil killed my sister, and he is concocting a false story," Neha said.

Neha also claimed that Sunil forced Sheetal to marry him but the deceased model kept refusing as he was already married and a father of two.

Further investigation in the case is underway.
