Massive Preparations On For Yoga Day; Programmes To Be Held At Jahaj Mahal In Mandu & Maheshwar Too

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The International Yoga Day will be observed on June 21 this year in a comprehensive way, with many mass programmes. Preparations for organizing these programmes are going on at a fast pace. As a special feature the Yoga Day programmes will be organized at tourist places like Jahaj Mahal in Mandu and Maheshwar.
Divisional commissioner Deepak Singh held a meeting to review the preparations being made to observe the day in a grand manner. It was told in the meeting that on International Yoga
Day, mass yoga programmes would be held from panchayat to district level. In-charge collector Gaurav Bainal, joint commissioner development DS Randa, additional collector Rinkesh Vaishya and other officers were present in the meeting.
The divisional commissioner directed all the officers to make preparations for the event as per the prescribed guidelines. It was said that collective participation of students of all schools, colleges, government and private universities, yoga institutes, NCC, NSS, policemen, various training institutes and citizens would be ensured in the programmes.
The divisional commissioner said that this time yoga programmes would also be organized at major tourist places of the division like Jahaj Mahal in Mandu in Dhar district and Maheshwar in Khargone district.
It was said in the meeting that public representatives would address people from 6 AM to 6.30 AM. Chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s address would be broadcast live from 6.30 AM to 6.40 AM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address from Visakhapatnam will be broadcast live from 6.40 AM to 7 AM. Yoga practice programmes will be held from 7 AM.
