Prepare Entry And Exit Plans For Ujjain's Simhasth Mahakumbh 2028: DGP Kailash Makwana
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): State DGP Kailash Makwana held a meeting on preparations of Simhasth here on Friday and asked officials to prepare entry and exit plans during the fete.
Extensive preparations are being made by state police for the peaceful, safe and well-organised conduct of Simhasth Mahakumbh to be held in Ujjain in 2028.
At the meeting, discussions were made on route planning, parking zones, entry-exit routes at ghats keeping in mind the possible presence of crores of devotees. Additional forces will be deployed for security, traffic control, health assistance and crowd control in ghat areas.
In view of the large number of devotees, temporary mobile towers, network boosters and high-speed data connectivity have been planned.
Special residential arrangements will be made for the policemen deployed on duty, which includes temporary residential camps, canteens, health care and rest areas.
Accommodation and food facilities will be provided to policemen as per the duty roster. In view of the possibility of a huge rise in the number of devotees in Omkareshwar during Simhastha, Khandwa SP prepared a special strategy for security arrangements at local level and gave a presentation.
