Students Can Now Earn Canadian High School Diploma Without Leaving India

Students in Ahmedabad now have the opportunity to take the internationally recognised Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) — all from their home classrooms. The program is being provided by Udgam Consultancy in association with Canada's Rosedale International Education, a revolutionary change in how international education is made available in India.
According to the India Today report, the partnership brings Canada's high school curriculum, as regulated by Ontario's Ministry of Education, to Gujarat for the first time. Top universities in Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, and other countries have embraced the OSSD because of its adaptable, skills-based curriculum.
"This is about preparing students for life, not just exam results anymore," stated Manan Choksi, CEO of Udgam Consultancy. “We wanted to bring a world-class education model to India, one that empowers students to think independently and develop skills they’ll actually use in the real world.”
Unlike the rigid exam-oriented systems most Indian boards follow, the OSSD emphasises continuous evaluation, critical thinking, and project-based learning. Students will be able to explore a wide range of subjects from data analytics and psychology to media and business, all tailored to align with global academic standards.
Canada: Ontario Colleges Cut Nearly 10,000 Jobs Amid Sharp Fall In International Student EnrolmentAs reported by India today, Rosedale Global High School, an approved online school in Ontario that presently collaborates with more than 100 schools in 17 nations, will administer the curriculum. Students in Ahmedabad now have direct access to a curriculum that was created with global preparation in mind.
Rosedale's Senior Manager of Global Education Partnerships, Ravi Kumar, described the collaboration as a logical progression. "India has always been a strong academic nation," he stated. "We are currently integrating that with a system that is prepared for the future."
More importantly, this development opens international doors for students who may not have the means to study abroad. For many families, it’s a chance to access global education without the financial and logistical challenges of relocating.
