Awantipora,Kashmir June 18, 2025 — The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) hosted a vibrant Auto Car Fest on campus, aimed at fostering innovation and showcasing student excellence in the field of automotive engineering and technology.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Wahid Makdoomi, Registrar, IUST, along with Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Mir, Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), IUST, both of whom attended as Chief Guests. The fest was marked by dynamic student participation, live demonstrations, and the display of innovative car models and mechanical prototypes.

In his keynote address, Prof. Wahid Makdoomi commended the students and organizers for their technical vision and commitment. “This fest exemplifies the spirit of applied learning and highlights how creativity and engineering go hand in hand,” he remarked.

Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Mir, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping the future of young technocrats. “CIED remains committed to supporting student-led ventures and technical events that encourage innovation at the grassroots level,” he added.

The Auto Car Fest brought together budding engineers, mentors, and automobile enthusiasts, creating a platform for experiential learning and idea exchange. Various technical competitions, exhibitions, and model demonstrations were held, drawing interest from across departments.

The event successfully reflected IUST’s ongoing commitment to promoting skill development, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students.
