Tovino Thomas backs Producers' Association move to seek anti-drug affidavits from actors

Kochi | Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas on Sunday said that he agreed with the Producers' Association's decision to seek affidavits from stars stating they will not use drugs during film shoots.

Thomas said that drugs should not be used anywhere, including film shoot locations.

"I will definitely accept it. Should we not? No one should use drugs, be it at a film's shooting location or anywhere else," he said.

He was responding to media queries about the decision of the Producers' Association.

The Producers' Association had reportedly stated that the requirement will be implemented from June 26 -- the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, an initiative of the United Nations that was started in 1989.
