Police manhunt as woman murdered in Camden home 'for diamond encrusted Rolex'
An urgent manhunt has been launched after a woman was murdered in her Camden, London, home and a diamond encrusted Rolex is believed to be missing from the property.
Jennifer Abbot, 69, was found stabbed to death in her home on Mornington Place when emergency services were called at 6pm on Friday night to reports of an unresponsive woman. The 69-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Metropolitan Police has urged any witnesses or people with information to step forward. A post-mortem, which took place on Sunday June 15, stated that her cause of death was sharp force trauma.
Cops have also appealed for any information about a distinctive gold Rolex watch with a diamond encrusted face believed to be missing from the Camden home.

Detectives have launched an investigation into her tragic death and said they are keeping an open mind about possible motives.
Jennifer, known professionally as Sarah Steinberg, had worked in the creative industries and was known as a popular member of her community. She was often seen walking her Corgi around the local Camden area and was last seen on Tuesday, June 10, by her neighbours.
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads policing in Camden, said: "We are working closely with our colleagues in the homicide team to establish exactly what happened and it’s incredibly important that we hear from anyone who may have knowledge about how this awful death occurred.
"Were you out in Camden on Friday? Perhaps you had been coming home from work, or at an event nearby? Did you see or hear anything around Mornington Place that struck you as being unusual?
"Someone must have seen or heard something and no piece of information is too small. It could be the crucial clue that leads us to identify Jennifer’s murderer.
"Extra patrols continue in the area while my officers remain at the crime scene. I would urge anyone who has any information, or who may be worried, to speak to them."
Police said no arrests have been made yet in this case but have appealed to the public and anyone with information to call 101 or message @MetCC on X, giving the reference 6470/13JUN. Cops said information, including potential videos and pictures, can be uploaded through their dedicated appeals page.
Alternatively people with information can speak anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/.
