New Delhi: The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will face Seattle Sounders in their next Club World Cup match at the Lumen Field in Seattle on Tuesday. The Champions League winners are under massive pressure after their shocking defeat against Brazil’s Botafogo.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout round of the tournament, and the clash against the MLS side Seattle Sounders is crucial for the French club. If Luis Enrique’s side manages to secure a victory against the Sounders, then they will qualify for the next stage, but a defeat means an early exit from the tournament.

Ousmane Dembele is still recovering from a hamstring injury that he sustained with France and remains a doubt for PSG’s crucial Club World Cup match. Although he has resumed training with the team but Enrique remains cautious and has given no absolute clarity on the winger’s return. With PSG’s knockout hopes on the line, Dembele’s involvement remains uncertain, potentially leaving him in the stands for a third consecutive match.

The forward scored 33 goals and provided 15 assists, and was PSG’s most dangerous player. He made crucial contributions in Ligue 1 and in the Champions League. He netted goals in both the semi-final and final of the European competition as the French club finally ended their UCL curse.

‘I don’t like to take risks’: Luis Enrique on Dembele’s potential return in tournament’s crucial match

The PSG manager made it clear that no risks will be taken with Dembele, emphasising the need for caution with players returning from injury, especially during big tournament fixtures.

“He participated in training with the team this week and this Monday we’ll see how he feels. I don’t like to take risks with the players. Tomorrow we’ll see, but not for sure,” Enrique told reporters
