TILL APES' LATEST JAM 'YUH' RIDES THE JAZZ-HOP WAVE

Bengaluru's very own neo hip-hop ensemble, Till Apes, brings a fresh groove with their latest track "Yuh," riding the wave of jazz-infused hip-hop. Originally conceived in 2019, "Yuh" has been a staple in Till Apes' live performances, showcasing their signature blend of jazz, soul, and hip-hop.

Comprised of rapper Hanumankind, guitarist-producer Doc.Awes (Amrith Raghunathan), bassist-composer Soorya Praveen, drummer Sange Wangchuk, keyboardist Philip John, and saxophonist Gautam David, Till Apes' musical prowess shines through in this crisp and dynamic offering.

With ominous piano melodies, soaring saxophone solos, and Hanumankind's effortless flow, "Yuh" captures the essence of Till Apes like never before. Guitarist Raghunathan describes the song as a pure expression of rhythmic synergy, devoid of any musical extravagance.

Saxophonist Gautam David highlights the song's infectious energy, noting its special place in the band's live set. Lyrically, "Yuh" explores a diverse range of topics, from personal reflections on Kerala to societal issues like democracy, all delivered with Hanumankind's trademark style.

Following their previous singles like "Whoa There Nelly" and the beat tape "Ill Tapes, Vol. 1," Till Apes promises fans a string of new releases, including an upcoming EP. With "Yuh," the band continues to push the boundaries of jazz-hop, solidifying their position as one of Bengaluru's most exciting musical acts.
