PTC Web Desk: Navdeep Singh Sidhu (21) from Himmatpura village in Moga district, Punjab, has gone missing after his car skidded off the road and plunged into a river in British Columbia.

Navdeep, who had moved to Canada recently on a work permit, was reportedly on his way to work with three friends when the accident occurred. According to preliminary reports, the vehicle veered off the road while trying to avoid hitting a tree and ended up in the river. While the other three occupants of the vehicle managed to escape safely, Navdeep Singh could not be located and is feared drowned. Multiple search operations were launched by local police, fire department, and search and rescue teams, but swift river currents have severely hindered recovery efforts. The authorities continue their efforts, but as of now, there has been no breakthrough in locating the missing youth.

Navdeep was the only child of his parents and had gone to Canada recently in pursuit of a better future. The devastating news has left his family in Punjab in deep shock and distress.
