Ludhiana: Youth's face blackened, naked paraded over friends' court marriage

PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a young boy's face was blacked and he was paraded naked across the entire village over his friend's court marriage in Punjab's Ludhiana district. 

The brutal incident unfolded after the girl's family targeted the youth and subjected him to torture to know the whereabouts of the couple who apparently solemnise court marriage.

The victim identified as Harjot Singh informed the police that he was in the salon when the girl's family arrived there and blackened his face, cut his hair and beard. The family also hurled abuse and racial slurs at him and recorded the entire incident. 

Harjot is employed at a factory. According to family his friend Gurpreet Singh had a court marriage with a girl. Meanwhile the girl's family alleged that Harjot is aware of their whereabouts as he had helped them in fleeing the spot. 

The police after receiving the information have registered a case at Mehrban police station under relevant sections. The case under Sections 115(2), 127(2), 351, 66A, 67-B IT and SC/ST Act 1989 of BNS has been lodged against the accused.
