Punjab students shine in NEET UG 2025: Keshav Mittal secures AIR 7, tops state

NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results of the NEET UG 2025 examination, bringing good news for Punjab as several students from the state have secured top ranks at the national level. Among them, Keshav Mittal from Barnala district has emerged as the state topper, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 7.

According to the results released by NTA, Keshav Mittal scored 680 out of 720 marks, earning a 99.99 percentile. His stellar performance not only made him the highest scorer from Punjab but also placed him among the top 10 candidates in the country. Keshav’s father, Dr. Prabodh Mittal, a practicing doctor, expressed immense joy and pride in his son’s achievement. He shared that Keshav has been focused and dedicated to his studies since Day 1. His mother is a homemaker, and the family credits discipline and hard work for this success.

Following closely behind, Himank Baghel secured AIR 28 with the same percentile of 99.99, but with a slightly lower score than Keshav. He has been ranked second in Punjab. Other notable achievers from Punjab include Mohammad Sameer (AIR 33), Naveen Mittal (AIR 49), Trisha Jain (AIR 51), Armaan Berry (AIR 77), Raghav Goyal (AIR 87), Jaanav Bansal (AIR 89), and Rupesh Garg (AIR 97). These rankings reflect a marked improvement in Punjab’s overall performance compared to the previous year.

The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the primary entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses in India. With lakhs of students competing every year, securing a rank in the top 100 is considered a significant accomplishment.
