PTC Web Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a spirited crowd at a rally in Kanpur on Friday, praised the Indian Army and commended the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a bold demonstration of India’s military might and self-reliance in defence technology.

Highlighting the operation as a landmark in India’s fight against terrorism, PM Modi said, “Operation Sindoor showcased the fiery resolve of Indian daughters and sisters, whose anger transformed into power and precision. Our forces penetrated deep inside Pakistan, striking at terrorist strongholds hundreds of kilometres within their territory.”

He added that the success of the mission had deeply rattled Pakistan, leaving their military in disarray and compelling them to seek a ceasefire. "The one who was pleading during Operation Sindoor must remember — it's not over yet," the Prime Minister said, issuing a firm warning to those who threaten India’s security.

Reaffirming India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism, PM Modi laid out the government's clear approach in three points: India will strike back at any act of terrorism, with its armed forces choosing the timing, method, and place; India will not be cowed by nuclear threats from adversaries and there will be no distinction between terrorist masterminds and the governments supporting them — both will be dealt with equally.

“Pakistan’s outdated tactic of differentiating between state and non-state actors no longer holds any ground,” he added.

Injecting some local flavour into his message, PM Modi switched to Kanpur-style Hindi: "Agar main seedhe seedha Kanpuriya mein kahun — dushman kahin bhi ho, haunk diya jayega," roughly meaning, “Wherever the enemy hides, they’ll be hit.”

This line drew enthusiastic applause from the local audience and reinforced the Prime Minister’s message of national resolve.

The Prime Minister also used the occasion to highlight the strength of India's indigenous defence capabilities. Citing the role of the BrahMos missile in the operation, he said, “The world has now seen the precision and power of Indian-made weapons. Our BrahMos missile struck deep into enemy territory and hit the marked targets with surgical accuracy.”

He said Operation Sindoor was a testament to the success of the Make in India initiative in the defence sector, which had significantly boosted India's self-reliance and military readiness.

As the rally concluded, PM Modi’s remarks left a resounding message — that India will neither forget nor forgive acts of terrorism, and will continue to respond with strength, strategy, and indigenous firepower.
