Chahal Optimistic About RCB's Chances in IPL Despite 7th Defeat
Despite their seventh defeat out of the eight games played in the 2019 season of IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler Yuzvendra Chahal is optimistic that the team will reach the top spot.
Addressing the media during the post-match press conference on Monday, 15 April in Mumbai, the 28-year-old leg-spinner said, "Last year one team qualified from the 14th spot. Even if we have won one game, you never know what is going to happen next."
On Monday, Hardik Pandya produced a sensational late cameo of 37 not out off just 16 balls as he guided Mumbai Indians to a five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chasing 172 for a win, the match was in a balance when Pandya came out in the 16th over but turned the game on its head, smashing five boundaries and two sixes during his unconquered 16-ball innings on a turning track at the Wankhede Stadium.
