UP: Pregnant Woman Shot Dead Allegedly Over Water Dispute in Etah

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) police has confirmed the death of a pregnant woman, Mamata, who was shot dead in Samur village, in Etah district on 17 July.

According to the police she was shot by a group comprising of 3-4 men allegedly over water dispute. Soon after the incident, Mamata was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.

According to the village Sarpanch,the accused have previously fought several times with other villagers as well.

While the main accused Santosh, has been arrested, the police has sent the body for postmortem.
