24-year-old cabbie found dead in Hyderabad, key suspect missing
HYDERABAD: A cab driver was found stabbed to death behind a grocery warehouse on Balapur road in Chandrayangutta on Friday morning.
The victim, Md Abdul Aziz , 24, a resident of Omer Colony in Hafeez Baba Nagar, was the youngest of six siblings.
The family was alerted by neighbours about his body lying in an open area behind Zepto Store on Balapur 100 feet road at around 8 am
His elder brother M A Khadeer (27), in his complaint to Chandrayangutta police, said: "When I reached the spot, my brother was lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on his neck and body. He had left home around 1 am with his friend Yousuf."
Chandrayangutta inspector R Gopi said a case has been filed under Section 103 (1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
"A special team has been formed to trace the assailants. Preliminary clues suggest the attack was carried out with a sharp-edged weapon. We are scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas to identify the accused," the inspector said, adding Yousuf has been missing since the incident.
The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
