Centre's nod to nuclear power plant in Bihar; Manohar Lal Khattar announces small modular reactor plan
PATNA: Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday agreed to set up a nuclear power plant in Bihar.
Addressing a press conference in Patna after presiding over a meeting of the energy ministers of the eastern India states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal among others this afternoon, he said that the central government is ready to fully help the Bihar govt in this project.
He said that there is a plan to install six small modular reactors across the country. One of which will be installed in Bihar.
