Councillor rejoins AAP after expulsion by BJP
New Delhi: After being expelled from BJP , Ward 50 Mangolpuri-B councillor Suman Tinku Rajoura rejoined AAP . She took membership at AAP headquarters in the presence of Delhi president Saurabh Bharadwaj and MCD Leader of Opposition Ankush Narang. Rajoura left AAP before the assembly elections to join BJP.
Rajoura, who joined BJP earlier this year ahead of the Delhi Assembly Elections , said, "I have come back to my family and am very happy. I committed the biggest crime by joining BJP, and I promise never to repeat that mistake." She also criticised BJP's recent demolition drive: "BJP never stands with the public, as seen in the failed promise of ‘Jahan Jhuggi, Wahan Makaan.'"
On June 9, BJP expelled the councillor for six years for alleged "anti-party" activities and voting ‘against' the party line in the Rohini Zone of the municipal corporation.
Narang said, "I wholeheartedly congratulate Rajoura for choosing AAP's ‘ politics of work ' over BJP's false politics and extend my best wishes to her."
