Formula-E case: Telangana chief Arvind Kumar quizzed for 6 hours by ACB
HYDERABAD: Special chief secretary Arvind Kumar was questioned for six hours by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) regarding his alleged involvement in the transfer of funds to Formula E Operations (FEO).
This was the second time that Arvind Kumar had been questioned by the ACB. Most of the questioning referred to the replies given by his co-accused, KTR, the former MAUD minister during the BRS tenure.
Last month, KTR was also questioned by the ACB. He allegedly claimed that he was only involved in the policy decision to send the necessary funds to FEO to ensure that the second edition of racing was held in Hyderabad. However, he said that it was the responsibility of the executives to follow the rules, and as a minister, he would not get involved in business matters.
Arvind Kumar arrived at the ACB office on Thursday morning and remained there until 5.30 pm. The officers tried to get answers from IAS officer regarding his alleged failure to comply. Arvind had claimed that he did not violate any rules, and on Thursday he maintained this position.
