Four arrested for damaging vehicles in Pimpri
Pune: Pimpri police arrested four youngsters for damaging two buses and an autorickshaw parked near Sadhu Vaswani Garden in Pimpri at 6.45am on Friday over a trivial reason. A search for their two other accomplices is under way.
A bus driver, Ghanashyam Gupta (34) of Pimpri, lodged a complaint in this regard with the police.
Pimpri police arrested Swaraj Pankade (19), Ashish Jadhav (25), Shivraj Khose (22) and Sushant Shendge (23), all residents of Pimple Nilakh. Police are searching for their two accomplices, and their identities have been established.
According to the police, a few buses and autorickshaws were parked on the public road near the garden.
"The suspects came to the spot on foot with sticks and plastic containers. They damaged the windshield of the buses and the auto with sticks. When Gupta questioned them, they kicked and punched him," said an officer from Pimpri police.
