Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay challenges BRS on BC leadership, promises BC cheif minister if BJP wins in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay on Monday challenged the BRS to appoint a BC leader as its party president. He also declared that the BJP would make a BC leader the chief minister if voted to power in the next elections.
Responding to remarks by BRS leaders that the BJP had not appointed BC leaders as party chiefs, Sanjay said, "BRS leaders should look within their own party before questioning others. Why has the party's top position never gone beyond KCR (K Chandrasekhar Rao)? If they have the courage, let them appoint a BC leader as BRS chief." He said BRS had once promised to make a Dalit the CM, a promise that remains unfulfilled.
