Man kills dad for harassing mom in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: A man killed his father by smashing his head with a pestle at Old Guntur area on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The deceased identified as G Sambaiah (50) works as a driver. His son Kishore who is working at Bengaluru was upset as his father repeatedly harassing his mother.

According to DSP Naseeruddin, Sambaiah was addicted to liquor and used to thrash his wife often in inebriated condition.

On Thursday, Sambaiah came home in an inebriated condition again and involved in an argument which eventually turned violent as he started beating her. She left for her parents home as he asked her to leave the house.

Upon knowing about the incident, Kishore came to Guntur on Friday night. He argued with his father. The argument turned violent as Kishore attacked him with a pestle. He left home after smashing his father’s head and killing him on the spot.

Cops rushed to the spot after getting information from neighbours. A case has been booked against Kishore who is on the run under section 302 of IPC.
