Prez Murmu welcomed with silver key

Gorakhpur: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Gorakhpur on a two-day visit at 1:30pm on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath , MP Ravi Kishan and mayor Manglesh Srivastav welcomed the President at the airport. On her arrival, Gorakhpur Mayor presented her a symbolic silver key, signifying the city's hospitality and honour.

Several local artists performed folk dance and school children waved the national flag on route from airport to the Circuit House in a cheerful salute to the President as she headed to the Circuit House. NDRF personnel greeted her with the tricolour from boats at Ramgarh Tal lake. The President will be in the city for around 30 hours.
